I'm reply to your Letter of the 14th Instant respecting Passage Allowance to be granted to the Bishop of Victoria on proceeding to his See, I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint You, for the information of Earl Grey, that adverting to the proportionate Rates of the regulated Passage Allowances for Governors of Colonies situated to the Eastward of the Cape of Good Hope, My Lords will be prepared to authorize the You to grant to the Bishop of Victoria an Allowance
